Amidst an economic crisis, businesses are seeking innovative solutions to foster growth and boost productivity. However, for an investment project to be effective and deliver tangible benefits to the company, a feasibility study is essential. A feasibility study acts as a pre-investment decision, providing the rationale for investing in specific production equipment or energy- and resource-saving technologies.
Experts from DEKA Group, in collaboration with the consulting firm Expertise and Technical Supervision, recently completed a feasibility study for a major industrial facility in Bishkek.
The local company sought to improve its production energy efficiency by installing a new boiler house and switching to a different fuel source; consequently, it required an independent technical assessment of the construction project.
The experts from DEKA Group and Expertise and Technical Supervision calculated the facility’s actual minimum and maximum hourly and daily energy consumption figures.
In addition, they conducted a visual inspection of the technical equipment and a thermographic survey of the steam pipeline, documenting any identified defects with photographs. This allowed them to evaluate the potential technical efficiency and economic benefits of the energy-saving project.
“Before embarking on the construction of a new facility or the expansion or modernization of an existing one, business owners must determine the investment viability of the production line or industrial site. The purpose of a feasibility study is to analyze the investment project and calculate in detail all the internal and external factors that will influence the project’s future viability,” said Darika Sulaimanova, head of DEKA Group.
